Work can be submitted in the following categories:
- Short Films (up to 20-minutes in length)
- Feature Films (20 minutes and longer)
- Documentaries (any length)
- Animation
- Trailers
- Around Knoxville
- Music Videos
- Student Films
- Experimental Video
Technical Specifications:
Accepted file types
We accepts video files from most digital video cameras in .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.
Accepted aspect ratios
Videos may be in any aspect ratio (4x3 or 16x9). NOTE: The frame size must exceed 432 x 324 to fit in the video player!
Accepted file sizes
Video files must not exceed 150Mb in size.
Accepted frame rates
15fps (frames per second) or above will be accepted. 30fps is suggested.
Accepted bit rates
No specific bit rate is required. Videos encoded at 400 kilobits per second or higher will yield the best results.
Videos smaller than 10MB can be sent via email to: knoxvillefilms@gmail.com. Videos larger than 10MB can be sent on a DATA CD or DVD to:

PLEASE DO NOT SEND AUTHORED DVDS--THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Be sure to label your CD or DVD with the title, author, email address, and category. If you would like us to send your work back to you, please enclose a self addressed stamped return envelope.
Also, feel free to email files from 10-100MB using www.mailbigfile.com to knoxvillefilms@gmail.com.
Judging Criteria:
All submissions will be evaluated by our panel of esteemed filmmakers and video professionals. Only the best videos in every category will be selected. It is the intent of the panel to showcase only the best of what East TN artists have to offer. This is not a clearing house for videos like YouTube or Google Video. We apologize in advance that we can not include every video that is submitted.
